Retro Gaming Australia: Game Room(s) Tour
So I finally got off my arse and took recorded this video of our game rooms. There are over 2,200 games in total between the two rooms, spread across 20 or so systems. The lounge room also doubles as the main office of Retro Gaming Australia. We're about to move in under two months, so we'll be doing this all over again soon :)
Forgot to go inside the wardrobe where most of the console boxes are kept. I'll show them off in the next video.

This video is from X-Men for the Sega Genesis and Mega Drive, released by Sega in 1993. The game isn't the prettiest one around, but it was a heck of a lot better than the other home console X-Men games released before. This video takes you through the first part of the Savage Lands, including the boss fight with Juggernaut which ends really awkwardly this time. We were also a bit lazy today an...

It originally aired in first-run syndication before being picked up by TNT. The show was produced by the same folks as the 1995 and 1997 movies, but was set 500 years before the events of the film. Jazz Jackrabbit - Retro Gaming Theatre

Before Unreal and Gears of War, Epic used to make a variety of games for DOS compatible computers. One such game was Jazz Jackrabbit, which combines the fast gameplay of Sonic the Hedgehog with some shooting action. Captain N: The Game Master Intro (Season 1)
Просмотров 1,3 тыс.11 лет назад
Captain N: The Game Master was a cartoon that aired between 1989 and 1991 which attempted to leverage many of the popular NES games of the time. The story focused on Kevin Keene, who was brought into the realm of Videoland by the "Ultimate Warp Zone" to fight the forces of Mother Brain. Joining him was the ruler of Videoland Princess Lana, an in-name only Mega Man, a rather odd interpretation o...
Mortal Kombat: Defenders of the Realm (The Animated Series) Intro
Просмотров 166 тыс.11 лет назад
Mortal Kombat: Defenders of the Realm (or Mortal Kombat: The Animated Series) was a cartoon that acted as an alternate sequel to the first Mortal Kombat movie. The series ran for one season of 13 episodes in 1995. Being a Saturday morning cartoon, the violence was toned down considerably, but it's probably a bit more faithful than the Street Fighter cartoon. The series also marked the introduct...

Since I saw this cartoon twelve years ago, I started to create my own long story based on this cartoon. The story description: When the Mario brothers, the princess Toadstool and the little mushroom were walking in their world, a water pipe in the sky suddenly King Koopa's Doomship appeared, but King Koopa's Doomship continued to emit smoke andspacecraft fire, and was seriously damaged, as if it had been subject to some kind of violent artillery fire. At this time, behind the Doomship, a large battleship that looked like a huge black whale suddenly appeared. Warships, and kept attacking King Koopa's Doomship, and then the two warships returned to King Koopa's world together. Mario and others were very curious, so they went to Koopa Kingdom together. When they came to the kingdom, they were surprised to see that the kingdom was beyond recognition. , became even more eerie and strange than before, and Koopa's castle was also occupied. They found that Koopa's Doomship had crashed seriously, and then saw the huge black whale warship staying above the castle. At this time, they saw After the Koopa family was driven out of the castle, a group of people entered the castle under the warship and planted a black flag with a purple crescent with a red inverted five-pointed star on the top of the castle. At the same time, the warship headed toward the Kingdom of Koopa, Mario's world and several countries projected an image of a mysterious man wearing black armor with a purple cloak in the sky. The mysterious man said that they were evil forces from the real world (that is, the Earth) in the 24th century. -The Night Empire, he claims to be the supreme leader of the Empire of Night, Emperor Sartre, and they have completely occupied the Koopa Kingdom , and then announced that the Night Empire has officially invaded and dominated all kingdoms in their world. At the same time, Emperor Sartre He dispatched thousands of flying saucer-type fighters and stingray-type fighters from his black whale warship to launch fierce attacks on other kingdoms. At this time, Mario and others found and rescued the Koopa Family imprisoned by the Night Empire, and then joined forces. Fight together against the terrible threat posed by the Night Empire , a vicious and powerful invading force.

Unlike The Super Mario Bros. Super Show!, which was broadcast weekdays in syndication, The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3 was aired on Saturday mornings on NBC, alongside Captain N: The Game Master for the 1990-1991 season. The two shows originally aired in a one-hour package entitled Captain N & The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3, which consisted of a half-hour episode of Captain N: The Game Master sandwiched between 2 15-minute Super Mario episodes. The two shows were then split up for later airings. The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3 was the only animated Super Mario franchise to use episode title cards and also the only one to open with a narration instead of a theme song. The show was originally titled "Super Mario Bros. III!" as shown in a poster that featured radically different designs for the Koopalings, Tryclyde (this time blue), and a previously unseen yellow monster.
